Our T-Shirt Designs & Creative Motivation

Funky tees are the beating heart of Problem Child — the loud, cheeky, personality‑driven core of everything we do — and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. From day one, we knew our T‑shirt designs needed to be more than just merch. They had to be expressive, climber‑coded statements that make people smile, spark conversations and instantly signal, “Yep, this person climbs… and they’ve got a sense of humour about it.”

Climbing culture is rich, weird, playful and wonderfully self‑aware. Our tees are built to reflect that energy. They’re the part of our brand where we let loose, push the boundaries, and embrace the chaos that makes climbing so addictive. If our technical gear is the engine, our funky tees are the fireworks.

And some of those fireworks have already become icons.

Wide Load Climbing Club is our love letter to the climbers who bring power, presence and a little extra “strategic mass” to the wall. It’s bold, it’s cheeky, and it celebrates the reality that climbing isn’t just for the shredded and sinewy — it’s for everyone who shows up and tries hard.

Bad Beta taps into one of climbing’s most universal experiences: receiving (or giving) hilariously terrible advice. The watercolour artwork captures that perfect blend of chaos and confidence that every climber recognises instantly. It’s relatable, it’s artistic, and it’s become one of our most talked‑about designs for a reason.

Sucky Beta takes the joke even further — a heavyweight tee built for the climber who knows they’re giving questionable advice and leans into it anyway. It’s self‑deprecating, proud and painfully accurate.

And then there’s Vintage Climber, our ode to the lifers — the chalk‑dusted legends who’ve been climbing longer than some gyms have existed. Distressed textures, retro vibes, and a design that feels like it’s lived through decades of sends.

These tees aren’t just products. They’re characters. They’re inside jokes. They’re snapshots of climbing culture that you can wear.

But the designs are only half the story. The other half is fit — because climbers aren’t one‑size‑fits‑all, and their clothing shouldn’t be either.

We’re building a lineup that covers every preference and every body type:

  • Big fit for the climbers who want room to move, breathe and throw big shapes.
  • Oversized for that relaxed, street‑ready silhouette that looks as good at the gym as it does at the café.
  • Slim fit for the climbers who like a clean, athletic profile that stays out of the way on the wall.
  • Cropped for women and youth climbers who want breathable, expressive summer gear that feels light and looks sharp.
  • Classic fit for the purists who just want a solid tee that does its job and does it well.

Our goal is simple: no matter your style, your vibe or your climbing personality, there’s a Problem Child tee that feels like it was made for you.

And we’re nowhere near done.

This part of our brand — the expressive, funky, personality‑driven tee range — is only going to get bigger. We’re already sketching, painting, prototyping and experimenting with new concepts, new artists, new fits and new stories to bring to life. Expect more humour, more attitude, more climber‑coded references, more bold artwork and more designs that make people stop you mid‑warm‑up to ask, “Where did you get that?”

Because climbing is fun. Climbing culture is fun. And your clothing should be too.
